Hard Reset MOTOROLA Droid 3

First method:

  1. You should first turn off the device.

  2. Next from the QWERTY keyboard press X button + Power button.

  3. Release all buttons, when android with the triangle appears.
  4. Then press together Volume Up + Volume Down.

  5. Now select "wipe data / factory reset" using Volume buttons to scroll, and Power button to confirm.
  6. Choose from the menu "Yes -- delete all user data" and confirm with Power button.
  7. After that select "reboot system now", and accept with Power key.

Second method:

  1. Switch off your cell phone.

  2. Then hold and press Volume Up + Volume Down + Power button until you see Android logo.

  3. Now press Home key to see Recovery options.

  4. From the menu select option "wipe data/factory reset" using Volume keys to navigate options, and Power button to accept.
  5. Afterwards confirm option "Yes -- delete all user data".
  6. Next choose "reboot system now".
  7. Good job!
