Hard Reset MOTOROLA XT560 Defy Pro

First Method:

  1. Device should be on.
  2. Press Home.
  3. Press Menu.
  4. Select Settings.
  5. Scroll down to Privacy.
  6. Select Factory Data Reset.  Note: Do NOT select “Erase SD Card.”  To be safe, you can remove your SD card to make sure nothing is removed.
  7. Select Reset Phone.
  8. Confirm by selecting Erase Everything.

Second Method:

  1. Power the phone off or remove the battery if it's unresponsive.

  2. Unplug any USB or power cables from the phone.
  3. Press the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons at the same time.

  4. While still pressing the Volume buttons, press the Power button.
  5. Hold all three buttons until the red Motorola logo appears.
  6. Release the three buttons you were holding down.
  7. The Android logo with an exclamation mark will appear.

  8. Press Home.
  9. Using the Volume Down button, scroll down to wipe data/factory reset.

  10. Press the Power button to select.
  11. Using the Volume Down button, scroll down to Yes-delete all user data.
  12. Press the Power button to select.
  13. Once complete, press the Power button again to reboot system now.

Hard Reset will erase all of your data
