iCloud LogoWhat Apple iCloud actually is?

Apple Activation lock is a special way of data protection. iCloud is designed to keep all your personal data safe in case your device is stolen or lost. This super tool can be used for many purposes including storing docs, photos, contacts, etc. That is why it is most commonly known for backing up your Apple data.

Why do I disable Apple iCloud?

Even though the iCloud feature is extremely useful, some people may want to disable it due to various reasons. For example, one may don’t want to back up all iPhone data to iCloud or share taken photos with the world. Another reason may be to prevent the data from syncing from your iPhone to other devices.

Logging out of iCloud also disables features like: Find My iPhone, FaceTime or iMessage. You will be able to turn on FaceTime and iMessage individually, with a phone number instead of your iCloud account.
