How to protect Instagram account from social hacking?

Surely you do not want to find yourself in such a risky and unpleasant situation as hacking your Instagram account. There are some fairly simple and trustworthy steps to help you avoid hacking attacks. We can help you keep your own pics, texts in direct, contacts, and personal data safe. Just below we provide a list of measures we recommend.

How do you increase the security of your Instagram account?

There are some rules that you should follow:

Set a Strong Password

You may have heard this too frequently, but creating a solid, complex password for your account is the basis. Long passwords with special characters, numbers, and upper and lower case letters make this seemingly simple method extremely successful. Hackers and computers would have a tougher time guessing it with this strategy. Please pay attention, this is a perfect example of a strong password: H@rdr3s3t.1NsT*a.

Use Two-Factor Authentication

If you’re wondering if there is anything else you can try. Yes, definitely! Consider switching to two-factor authentication. This feature works just like this: you'll get a notice that you've signed in to your account, and then you'll be asked to enter a special code as identification. What is the procedure for obtaining this code? Instagram sends an SMS to your phone number or uses a third-party authentication program such as Google Authenticator, Duo Mobile.

Deny Access of Third-Patry Apps

The next step that can also help you strengthen the security of your Instagram account data is to deny access to unauthorized programs and services. These frequently provide options like: “Import photos from Instagram” or to “Connect/Link to Instagram.” But the more third-party applications have access to your data, the greater the risk that it will be used for nefarious purposes. For this reason, use extreme caution when giving authorization access to your account. And if, in case of urgency, check the information that the application asks for. Don’t forget that you can delete these applications in the Instagram “Security” settings.

Always Log Out

It's probably not even something to be reminded of, but remember to log out of your Instagram account on foreign devices. But if you forget to log out, it's the easiest way for outsiders to gain access to your Instagram personal information. So always be vigilant, log out in public access computers, other people’s mobile smartphones.
