How do I recover contacts from my phone?

As we all know, various stories happen. We often forget about certain activities or lose more or less valuable things. It happens with our smartphones as well. And, even though it may seem to be a trivial issue, it may be a huge problem if it is about some important number.

Obviously, the most common issue is upgrading the smartphone’s operating system. No matter if your device is based on iOS or Android, once you receive a software update and refresh your phone, you may lose all the numbers stored in your device. However, it doesn’t matter what the reason is, there is an option to recover them! Let’s come along with the possible methods, some simple ways of recovering contacts in both Android and iOS devices.

Restore Contacts

If you are the owner of an Android smartphone, sometimes your operating system hides your contacts, creating the appearance of irreversible removal. Here is the good news, there is a chance to have them back! 


  1. At the very beginning, open your Phone Dialler, and go to the Contacts.
  2. Secondly, click on the more icon - three vertical docs sign.
  3. Thirdly, select Contacts to display.
  4. If All contacts were not selected, tick on its icon. 
  5. That's it! Congrats!

Google Account

  1. First of all, open the Settings.
  2. Then, find and select Google.
  3. Under Services you will find Restore contacts, click on it.
  4. Choose your Google Account and click on Restore. Wait a short while, till you see Contacts restored tab.
  5. Good job!


If you have an APPLE iPhone, you can recover lost contacts. Check out the options below and do not break down in the face of such a situation, because we know the way out!


  1. Start with opening the Settings.
  2. Locate and open User name and go to iCloud tab.
  3. Find and pick Contacts.
  4. Finally, toggle OFF and turn ON Contacts.
  5. Well done. 


  1. At first, connect your APPLE iPhone to PC.
  2. Secondly, open iTunes
  3. From Device list pick your device and choose the most recent backup entry date.
  4. To finish the whole operation, tap on Restore Backup.
  5. Great job!
