How To Unlock Bootloader in Sony Xperia phone?

Necessary Tools, Drivers and Firmware

  1. Sony Xperia PC Companion with USB Drivers
  2. Sony FlashTool 32bit
  3. Sony FlashTool 64bit

Install Necessary Tools

  1. Install Sony Xperia PC Companion with USB Drivers.
  2. Unpack and install Sony FlashTool.

WARNING!
Bootloader Unlock on the phone will erase all of your data.
All described operations you are doing at your own risk.
If want saves your data do a backup before start.
The battery should be at least 60% charged before starting.

Obtaining the Bootloader Unlock Code from Sony

  1. Read IMEI from phone label, or dial *#06# code. Save it, will be needed in the next step.
  2. In your phone open the dialer and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
  3. Tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status.
    If Bootloader unlocks is "Yes", then you can continue to the next step. If it saysNo, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.
  4. Go to page Sony Developer Bootloader Unlock Permanently delete data from your device
  5. On the drop down menu select your model and press Continue button. Hard Reset your device
  6. Next enter your e-mail address to get a required link for next step, check Terms & conditions and press Submit button.

  7. Next, open an e-mail with a received link from Sony and open it to go to the next step. Wipe data on your device
  8. On that page write your IMEI number, check Terms & conditions check all checkboxes and press Submit button.
    Format your device Restore your device
  9. Now you will see the bootloader unlocking code, save it, you will need it in the next step. Remove screen password on your device
  10. Great work now we can start unlocking bootloader process.

Bootloader Unlock Manual

  1. Turn on Sony FlashTool(depend on windows system 32/64bit use file Flashtool or Flashtool64).
  2. Press the BLU button and holding the volume down button connect turned off the phone to the USB cable.
    Remove Screen Lock on your device Permanently delete data from your device
  3. Now the software will read information about your Sony phone and write you manual to connect the phone in the fastboot mode.
  4. Release the volume button and disconnect the USB cable from your phone. Hard Reset your device
  5. Connect your Sony phone turned off to the USB cable with the volume up button pressed until the tutorial disappears, then release the volume button and leave the phone connected to the USB cable.
  6. Next, you will see the new window with phone IMEI filed and blank filed to enter the bootloader unlock code. HardReset your device
  7. Enter the bootloader unlocks code that you save before and press the Unlock button. Factory Reset your device
  8. Wait until you will see a welcome screen on the phone, then disconnect the USB cable. Master Reset your device

Congratulations, everything went well and your phone has unlocked Bootloader.
Then you can upload custom recovery, root your phone or upload the custom firmware.
