What is SIMLOCK?

SIMLOCK is a blockade established inside the device software by the producent on certain mobile operator’s request, resulting in a lack of SIM Card authorization of other mobile operators. Shortly speaking, if you purchased the phone with this kind of security measure - you won’t be able to install SIM Cards provided any other operator than the original one. There is also a case of the country restriction when you can only use SIM Cards coming from the particular country.
