Install Necessary Tools, Files and Drivers

  1. Install Xiaomi USB Drivers.
  2. Install Mini ADB and Fastboot with Drivers.
  3. Unpack Xiaomi Bootloader Unlock Tool.
  4. Download Magisk Manager application.
  5. Download Custom Recovery to your REDMI 9A device or check Google if no one find it on this page.

Manual How to Root REDMI 9A device.

  1. To begin first must unlock Bootloader in REDMI 9A(manual with instructions step by step and movie is here).
  2. Factory reset REDMI 9A by phone menu to remove any Google and miCloud account that must be removed before operation.
  3. After complete factory reset operation phone will reboot and turn on to welcome creator, then turn off REDMI 9A by the power button and option from the pop-up menu.
  4. Turn off antivirus on your computer because lots of it think that a custom recovery file is a virus and is not allowed to download it and use it.
  5. Make sure that you are using the default directory of ADB and FASTBOOT. If didn't change the path, you can find files in C:\ADB
  6. Copy downloaded custom recovery to default ADB and FASTBOOT directory mean C:\ADB if not change path.
  7. Rename custom recovery name to recovery.img
  8. Copy magisk manager application (magisk-v23.0.apk) to the microSD card.
  9. Rename the magisk manager application file on the computer to magisk.zip and copy it again with a new name to the microSD card.
    (on microSD card should be 2 files 1 zip and 1 apk)
  10. Insert microSD card to REDMI 9A device.
  11. Turn on REDMI 9A in fastboot mode.
