How to Record 120 FPS Video on SAMSUNG Galaxy S21

Samsung officially launched Galaxy S21 series smartphones in three different models - Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 +, and the top-end Galaxy S21 Ultra with notable differences in the specifications and features. The new line of Samsung Galaxy S21 phones is an improvement of previous Galaxy S20 phones in almost every way. We get an adaptive 120Hz screen refresh rate and a 108MP Ultra version camera with 10X hybrid zoom and half that at 64MP on the regular S21 and S21 + which only offer a 3X hybrid zoom. We also get 8K video recording on all phones at 24 FPS.

In this article you will see a lot of useful information, such us:

What is FPS?

FPS stands for "frames per second" and it is also called frame rate. This term refers to the speed at which videos are recorded and played back. When we talk about photography, the frame rate is the number of photos or frames taken in one second. The more frames per second, the more natural the recording becomes. Videos are usually recorded from 30 to 60 frames per second. Recording at the high frame rate and then playing them back in a much smaller number than was recorded is called slow motion video. This feature was first introduced in the Galaxy S9 series.

Galaxy S21 video features.

In the new line Galaxy S21 we have a lot of camera functions and video resolution.

Other features.

Pro video mode opens up some more frame rate possibilities. Some of them are 4K and 1080p at 24 FPS for that cinematic look, as well as 1080p at 120 FPS, the non-slow-mo variation.

What is Director's View?

Director's View is a new mode in Galaxy S21 series. This function allows you to record video from every camera at the same time. This is ideal for content creators as you can get different angles and distances as well as record from the front camera.

Hyperlapse Mode.

It's perfect for capturing things that appear slow, like a sunset.
